Deleting your
account.

How account deletion works — what we keep, what we wipe, and how long you have to change your mind.

Permanent after 30 days. Deletion is two-stage. First, your account is deactivated immediately. Then, 30 days later, your data is wiped permanently. Until then, you can reactivate.

Account deletion in nouz is deliberate — the two-stage flow protects you against accidental deletion while genuinely respecting your right to leave. The 30-day grace period is generous enough to recover from a regret, short enough that we're not holding your data indefinitely.

01 How to delete

  1. 1
    Open Settings → Account

Scroll all the way down — the Danger Zone is at the bottom.

  2. 2
    Click Delete account

    A confirmation dialog opens.

  3. 3
    Type your email to confirm

    Stops accidental deletes.

  4. 4
    Confirm

Your subscription is cancelled. Your data enters the 30-day grace window.

02 The 30-day grace period

For 30 days after deletion, your account is in a "deactivated" state:

  • You can't log in normally. The login form returns "account deactivated".
  • You can reactivate. Visit /account/reactivate and follow the flow — it brings the account back, data intact.
  • Stripe doesn't bill you. The subscription is cancelled during the grace period.
  • Your data is preserved. Revenue, expenses, products, fixed costs — all still there, hidden from queries.

03 What permanent means

After 30 days, a scheduled job hard-deletes everything: your user row, every location, every entry, every product, every fixed cost. After that, reactivation is impossible — you'd sign up fresh. We retain a minimal billing record (your email and the cancellation date) for tax compliance only.

04 Export first

Export first. If you might want your data later, export it before deletion. After 30 days, it's gone — we can't recover it on request.

The 30-second pre-deletion ritual: open Settings → Account, click Export, save the ZIP somewhere safe. Then delete. The export is a clean snapshot of everything your shop logged, and is the only way to recover any of that data after the grace window ends.
