After you sign up, nouz sends a six-digit one-time code (OTP) to the email address you used. Typing that code on the /verify screen confirms you own the inbox and finishes account creation. No code, no account — so it's worth getting this step right, especially if your shop's email is on a corporate domain or you use a strict spam filter.
The whole verification step is over in under a minute when it works smoothly. When it doesn't — which is rare but happens — the three causes below cover almost every case.
01 What the code is
The OTP is six digits, generated fresh per request. It's sent from support@nouz.co via Resend (our transactional email provider), the same service we use for password resets and support replies. It expires in 60 minutes from the moment it's sent. Once you've used it, it's burned — even if you sign up a second time with the same email, you'll get a fresh code.
On the /verify screen, the code goes into six small boxes (one digit each). Pasting works — if you copy the code from your inbox and paste into the first box, all six fill automatically. The form auto-submits on the sixth digit, so you don't need to click anything extra.
02 When it doesn't arrive
Three places to look first, in order:
- Your spam folder. Gmail, in particular, sometimes routes first-time senders to spam. Marking us as "not spam" once teaches Gmail to send future emails to your inbox.
- Your "Promotions" tab (Gmail only). Some Gmail accounts file transactional email here instead of the primary inbox.
- The address you typed. Double-check the spelling on the signup form.

If none of the three turns it up, the code is probably caught by an upstream filter (your IT team's server, a strict ISP-level scanner, etc.). See the corporate inboxes section below.
03 Resending the code
If five minutes have passed and you still don't see anything, tap Resend code on the verify screen. The button is greyed out for the first 30 seconds to stop rapid double-taps that'd trigger our rate limits. After that it lights up — click it once and a fresh code arrives within a minute.
Resending invalidates the old code. If both eventually land in your inbox, only the latest works. Type the most recent six digits.
If you've resent and still don't see anything after another five minutes, email support@nouz.co from the same email address you're trying to register with. We can verify you manually within the business day.
04 Corporate inboxes
If your email is on a company domain (your own staff email, a shared shop@yourbusiness.com address), your IT team's mail filter may quarantine first-time senders. The symptoms are clear: no code ever arrives, no matter how many times you resend, and the email is also not in your spam folder.
The fix is to ask whoever runs your email to whitelist support@nouz.co. Once that's done, the next resend will land in your inbox normally. If you don't have access to IT, switching to a personal Gmail / Apple / Outlook account for nouz signup is the fastest workaround — you can change the email later from Settings.
