Expired reset links are easy to fix — request a new one and use it within the hour. The expiry is a security feature, not an obstacle.
01 Why do reset links expire?
Reset links are short-lived for security. Each one is valid for one hour from the moment it's sent, so an expired link can't be exploited if it later leaks via a forwarded email or an old browser tab. One hour is long enough to act on and short enough to be safe — and there's no penalty for letting one expire, since you can request a fresh link any time.
02 How do I request a new reset link?
- 1Visit /forgot-password
Or click "Forgot password" on the login screen.
- 2Enter your email
Same one as before.
- 3Wait for the new email
Arrives within a minute. The new link is valid for another hour.
- 4Click the new link
The old one is now invalid — only the latest works.
03 How do I make sure I use the link in time?
Open the link as soon as you see the email, while you're already at your computer. The window is one hour, so don't leave the tab parked and come back later in the day — by then it'll have expired and you'll have to request another one and start over. Requesting fresh links is free and unlimited, but using the first one promptly saves you the round trip.
