An empty CSV export is almost always a user-error issue, not an app bug. Three checks resolve nearly every empty-export report.
01 Three things to check
- The selected month. Did you click "October" thinking you wanted "September"? Months are easy to misread.
- The active location. Multi-location users sometimes export from the wrong shop.
- Whether data exists for that month. If you only started using nouz in March and you export February, you'll get an empty file.
02 Check in this order
- 1Open P&L
Switch to monthly view.
- 2Pick the month
Make sure it's the right one — read the date range at the top.
- 3Confirm the location
Picker top-right.
- 4See if the on-screen totals show data
If they're zero, there's no data to export. If they're not, click Export — should give you a non-empty CSV.
03 Still empty?
If the on-screen P&L shows real numbers but the export is empty (zero-byte CSV or just headers), that's a bug — email support@nouz.co with the month and location. We'll investigate.
04 What a valid export looks like
A successful export is a CSV with four sections (revenue, expenses, fixed cost allocations, summary). Even a quiet month with three revenue entries should produce a few hundred lines of CSV. If you're seeing only headers or fewer than ~10 lines, something's off.
