Changing your account email is more involved than changing your name or language — because the email is what controls every recovery path (password reset, OTP login). Verifying the new address before activating it makes the change safe.
01 Where do I change my account email?
Open Settings → Account. The email address sits at the top of the page with a small "Change email" button next to it. Click it, type the new address, and click Save. That doesn't finish the change on its own — nouz then sends a verification code to the new address, and the switch only takes effect once you confirm it.
02 How does the email verification step work?
Saving doesn't change the email immediately. nouz sends a verification code to the new address. Open that inbox, copy the six-digit code, and paste it into the dialog. The change takes effect when you click Confirm. If you don't complete this within 60 minutes, the change is abandoned and your old email stays active — so the switch is only ever final once you've proven you control the new address.
If you don't complete the verification within 60 minutes, the change is abandoned and your old email stays active. Safe by default.
03 What changes after I switch my email?
- Login. Use the new email next time you sign in.
- Stripe billing. Stripe receipts and invoices go to the new address from the next billing event.
- Transactional emails. Password resets, OTPs, support replies all use the new address.
04 Why should I keep my old inbox during the switch?
Common gotcha: changing your nouz email immediately after closing the email account that signed up. If verification fails for any reason, the recovery path is via your old email — which doesn't exist anymore. Wait until the new email is confirmed working before retiring the old one.
