How do I add, hide and sort columns in a table?

Click the Columns button above the table, then click a column's name to show it or hide it. Four tables on Insights have the button. They are Product profitability on the Products tab and the Reorder planner on the Inventory tab. The others are Return economics by product on the Returns tab and Unit cost changes on the COGS tab.

The Columns list puts the columns in groups, each with a count such as 3 of 8 shown. An open eye means the column shows, and a crossed-out eye means it is hidden. On Product profitability, the profit level you picked with the switch always shows, marked selected level. Reset to default, at the bottom, brings back the columns the table opened with.

nouz remembers your choice in this browser, one choice per table. Another browser or another computer opens each table with its default columns. A private window may forget your choice once you close it.

To sort, click a column's header. An arrow shows the direction, and a faint double arrow marks a column you can sort by. The first click puts the largest first. In the reorder planner, dates and urgency start with the soonest or most urgent instead, like Days left and Order by. Click again to flip the order. A dash always goes last, whichever way you sort.

Each table opens in its own order. Product profitability sorts by the profit level you picked, highest first. Return economics by product puts the most margin lost first. The Reorder planner opens with the most urgent first, and Unit cost changes with the biggest margin impact. A header with a dotted underline explains itself when you hover it.

With many columns, a table gets wider than the screen. Hold the mouse button anywhere on it and drag left or right. On a touchscreen or a trackpad, swipe instead. The first column, the product or the variant, stays in place, so you always know which row you are reading.

What each table can add. Product profitability groups its columns as Sales, Costs and profit, Stock and Marketing. Among them are orders, shipping paid, average price, refunds, each cost and every profit level. Stock and the breakeven figures for ads are there too. The Reorder planner groups Stock today, Selling pace, Reorder, and Sales and profit for the range at the top. On the Inventory tab, clicking a status in the cards above the planner also filters it.

Return economics by product groups Units, Money back and Profit. Its extra columns are Refund per unit, Margin lost per unit, CM1 before returns and Profit lost to returns. Unit cost changes groups The change, What it did and Margin now. It adds Change per unit, Units since, Price, CM1 per unit and CM1 % for the range at the top.
