What do the price and cost levers in What if do?

They test changes to your prices, your discounts and your costs. Find them in What if, in the groups Prices & discounts, Costs and Fixed costs. Percent changes count only in the months picked under Period.

Prices changes every price by a percentage. Customers keep buying the same amount, and product costs stay the same. A €40,00 product at +5% sells for €42,00. Extra discounts gives away more, in percentage points (pp) of GMV. GMV is your goods at full price. +2 pp means 2 more cents off every euro of goods. The i beside it shows how much your forecast gives away now.

Product costs is a supplier price change on every product. Shipping & fulfilment is a new carrier or warehouse price on every parcel. Payment fees changes all your payment fees. All three work in percent. Return rate adds returns, in percentage points of gross revenue. Each extra return costs your return processing fee, and its goods go back into stock.

Fixed costs adds new costs. Monthly cost counts every month from the month you pick, for example a new hire at €3.000 from March. One-off counts once, in one month, for example a photoshoot at €1.500. Both land in Overhead, so they lower EBITDA but not CM3.

Period shows All 12 months, or a range such as Oct to Dec 2026. Click it, pick the first month, then the last. Fixed costs and one-offs keep their own month. The price increase calculator works out one price change by hand. To keep a test, save it as a scenario.
