Does nouz count what Shopify's Shop Campaigns cost me?

Yes, nouz counts what you spend on Shopify's Shop Campaigns in Marketing Costs, line 27 of your P&L. Shop Campaigns are Shopify's own ads in the Shop app. You pay for them per order they bring you, on your Shopify bill. nouz reads that spend from Shopify together with your orders, so there is nothing extra to connect.

Open Marketing Costs on the P&L, and Shop Campaigns has its own row, with Shopify's logo. The row only shows in a range that has Shop Campaigns spend. Each amount counts on the day of the order Shopify tied it to, in your store's timezone. It is Shopify's own figure, in your store's currency, so nouz never converts it. A refund does not take it back, because Shopify does not give that cost back either.

The total can differ a little from the Shop Campaigns line on your Shopify bill. The bill counts what Shopify charged in its billing period, while nouz counts each amount on its order's day. nouz also reads recent days again at every sync, so a late change from Shopify still arrives.

Shopify lets nouz read this spend only with a special permission, the same one your store traffic needs. On a new connection, nouz may still be waiting for it. Until then, the Shopify panel in Settings, Integrations says so next to Shop Campaigns: Waiting for Shopify's permission to read Shop Campaigns spend. Nothing else changes, and the Overview does not warn you. Once Shopify grants it, the next night sync reads your spend back to your first order.

Do not also type Shop Campaigns charges in yourself, as Marketing spend on the Overhead page. They would then count twice. If you added them by hand while nouz waited, delete those entries once the Shop Campaigns row shows the same days.
