Setting up your costs
What are overhead categories for?
They group your fixed costs so the run-rate can be read by kind: rent, salaries, software, agencies, compliance. It makes a creeping subscription bill visible in a way one total never does.
One category behaves differently on purpose. Costs categorised as Marketing leave the overhead line and join marketing costs, because a monthly influencer retainer is advertising rather than rent. Each cost is counted exactly once either way.
