Setting up your costs Answer 3 of 46 Updated
What does the Products page show?
It lists every variant you sell, with its price, its unit cost and what one piece leaves you. A variant is one version of a product, like size M. Open Products in the sidebar to see it. Gift cards are left out, because they are not stock you buy in.
The columns are Status, Product, SKU, Sales price, Unit cost, Margin per unit and Weight. Status says where the cost came from: Synced, Edited or No cost. SKU is the article number from Shopify. Product shows the picture and the name, with the variant's own option under it, like M. A product with no options shows just its name. Sales price is the price in your shop. Unit cost is what one piece costs you today. Weight shows a dash when it is unknown.
Products without a cost come first, then the ones that sold most in the last 30 days. The box at the top searches by product, variant or SKU. Click a row to open its panel, where you set the cost, the weight, the packaging size and the lead time. The panel shows the product's picture beside its name.
Two things can sit beside the search. A chip like 12 without a size shows up when product sizes decide a cost, such as the box a parcel ships in. Click it to list only those products. At the right end, the Default lead time box sets how many days a reorder usually takes.
Only an owner or admin can change costs. Anyone else can open a panel and read it.
