Forecast and planning Answer 3 of 19 Updated

What does the day by day chart on the Forecast show?

It shows this month added up one day at a time, so you can see if you are on pace. The card is named after the month, for example October day by day. A switch at the top right shows EBITDA or Net revenue.

The solid line is what really happened, up to today. A dot marks today, with your Actual total so far. The dashed line is the forecast for the days left, and the grey band around it is the likely range. At the right end you see where the month should finish.

When this month has a goal for the figure you are looking at, a dotted line shows the goal pace. That is how far along you should be on each day to reach the goal. It follows your usual weekday pattern from last year, so a quiet Monday does not look like falling behind. A store with less than a year of orders spreads the goal evenly over the days. Under the chart, Goal pace by today compares it with what you have. For example: Goal pace by today €12.000 · you have €13.100 (+€1.100).

A store with a year of orders also gets a thin line for the same days last year. Without a goal, the line under the chart compares you with them, for example €13.100 so far, +8,0% on the same days last year. Hover the chart to read any day.

About this forecast explains how wide the band is. The months after this one are on Next 12 months, further down the page.
