What does Next 12 months show on the Forecast?
It shows your last 12 months as they happened beside the next 12 months as forecast, one bar per month. A switch at the top right picks Net revenue, CM3 or EBITDA. CM3 is what is left after products, shipping, fees and marketing.
Solid bars are past months, and striped bars are the forecast. This month's bar is solid up to what is booked so far. The thin line through a forecast bar is its likely range. A black mark is your goal for net revenue or EBITDA. A diamond marks a month with a planned event, with a number when there are several. A month your data only partly covers is left out, so it never looks like a bad month.
Hover a bar to read the month: the forecast, its range, your goal, the same month last year and its events. With a What if on, a dashed outline shows each month without it.
Under the chart, four totals add up the next 12 months: Net revenue, Marketing, CM3 and EBITDA. Each one shows its change against the last 12 months. Marketing adds the MER, and CM3 and EBITDA show their share of net revenue. When EBITDA grows more than 5 percentage points slower than revenue, a note says so. Its button, Test your ad budget, opens What if. Every month line by line is in the Forecast P&L below.
A store with less than a year of orders sees Next 4 months instead, with no past bars. Its note, No season yet, explains why. Add your big sales as planned events so they count.
