Which forecast emails and alerts can I get?
Three: the forecast lines in your daily email, and two alerts that email you when the forecast needs you. Switch them on or off with Alerts at the top right of the Forecast. The same switches are in Settings and then Notifications. Each person sets their own.
The forecast in the daily email is on by default, and its switch is called Add the forecast. It says where this month will likely end in EBITDA, and how that compares with your goal. For example: October will likely end at €14.000 EBITDA, €1.000 below your goal. A second line adds up the months ahead in EBITDA and net revenue. It is the same forecast as the page, with your planned events and no What if.
Both alerts look only at months that begin within the next eight weeks, where the forecast is firmest. “A month will likely miss its EBITDA goal” is on by default. It speaks only once you set EBITDA goals, and only about a month the page shows as Likely short. “Marketing goes over budget” is off by default. It emails when a month's marketing is forecast more than 3% over the budget you set in Goals. Each alert sends at most one email a week.
The alert “A product needs ordering” is no longer on the Forecast. Its switch now sits in the Notifications settings, under Alerts, in its own Stock group. It follows the Order by dates of the reorder planner on the Inventory tab of Insights.
Recent, at the bottom of the Alerts panel, lists the last alert emails you got. Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe. On Base, while a paid month is past its order limit, the alerts pause and the daily email leaves the forecast out.
