Reading your P&L Answer 6 of 36 Updated

What does the chart at the top of the P&L show?

It shows five lines for your date range, one point per day: Net Revenue, CM1, CM2, CM3 and EBITDA. So you can see how each one moved, day by day. Point at a day to read all five amounts for it.

Under the chart sits a strip with the same five figures. Each shows its total for the range, like €52.340. A chip beside it shows the change against the period before, like +8,4%. Under Net Revenue you see your net orders. Under each of the other four you see its margin, like 41,2% of Net Revenue.

If you set margin targets, each margin in the strip is green, orange or red. Click a figure in the strip to hide its line in the chart. Click it again to show the line. One line always stays, so the chart is never empty.

This strip is also called a KPI strip. KPI means key performance indicator: a number you check often to see how you are doing.
