Why does nouz ask me to renew Meta access?
Because Meta's access ends about 60 days after each sign-in. No app can renew it on its own. Only you can, by signing in to Meta again. Google Ads access does not run out like this.
A week before the end, the Overview warns you under Needs your attention. The item reads, for example, “Meta access ends on 12 Oct”, with a Renew access button. In Settings, then Integrations, the Meta row says Access ends 12 Oct. Until that day, every number is complete.
Click Renew access, and Settings, then Integrations, opens. Click Fix Meta Ads or the Meta row. In the panel, click Reconnect Meta. Meta opens in a new tab and asks you to approve. Back in nouz, your ad accounts are listed and already ticked. Confirm them, and nouz uses the new access for every account you keep.
If you miss the day, the item says “Meta access ended on 12 Oct”. At the next sync, Meta refuses nouz. The Meta row then says Needs you, and the Overview shows Meta as not connected. Its spend stops reaching Marketing Costs, the ad spend line of your P&L, until you renew. So CM3 and EBITDA, your profit after marketing and after every cost, look too high. The “A connection stops working” alert emails you too.
Nothing is lost while access lapses. After you renew, the next sync reads every day since each account last synced, plus the last 30 days. So the missing spend lands on the days it was spent. Only an owner or an admin can renew access.
