What is on each Insights tab?

Insights has eleven tabs, and each tab answers one question about your store. Pick a tab at the top of the Insights page. Most cards have a small info icon beside the title that explains them.

Revenue shows how your sales turn into net revenue. Products shows the profit of each product, from CM1 down to EBITDA. Inventory shows what to reorder and when, and the money sitting in stock. Marketing shows if your ads pay, with MER, POAS and blended CAC. Returns shows what returns really cost you. Customers shows how customers come back, with repeat purchase, order cadence and purchase journeys. LTV shows what a customer is worth over time, in sales and in profit. The last four tabs, COGS, Logistics, Transaction fees and Overhead, each show one kind of cost.

Most charts follow the date range you pick at the top. A few cannot. The LTV tab and the customer charts for repeat orders, cadence and journeys use your whole history. The break-even chart uses this month. The Inventory tab works from today's stock and recent sales. Each of those says so on its card. Conversion needs Shopify's store traffic too, which is why traffic or conversion rate can show as unavailable.

A chart over time draws one point per day for a range of up to 31 days. For a range of up to 183 days, it draws one point per 7 days, counted back from the last day. So the newest point is always a full week. For longer ranges, it draws one point per calendar month. Point at one to see exactly which days it holds. Every figure comes from the same engine as your P&L, so a number on a tab and on the P&L always agree. Insights is on every plan.

Every card has its own explanation in Insights, card by card. Start with the Revenue tab, the Products tab or the Inventory tab. The reorder planner, the Marketing tab and the Returns tab are there too. So are the Customers tab, the COGS tab, the Logistics tab, the Transaction fees tab and the Overhead tab. It also shows how to add, hide and sort table columns.
